A Big Ask for the Big Give: Arts for Impact

Updated: Feb 28

We are proud to have been selected to take part in the Big Give Arts for Impact campaign to raise £5,000 over just 1 week in March!

These funds will be used to support our project: HeARTspace: unlocking resilience through art!

HeARTspace provides a creative safe space where children and young people can find support from trusted adults and develop peer relationships in a time of crisis and trauma, through the making of art.

Donations to HeARTspace will be generously matched by Big Give’s Champions during the campaign to make double the difference in supporting vulnerable young people and children. That's a whopping £10,000!

“Our students are valuing and benefitting from your wonderful sessions. We felt it so imperative that a student attend your art intervention that a member of staff drove 12 miles to collect her and bring her to your session. She was eagerly waiting to attend and participated with great enthusiasm.” - Student Mental Health Coordinator

How can you help?

This year we’re looking to raise a total of £10,000. In order to access the £10,000 we have in the matching pot, we need to raise £5,000 in online donations. We hope everyone will give generously to help us reach our target and enable us to carry on the work we all feel so passionately about.

How can you get involved?

Visit the Big Give website and make a donation from midday 19th March. The campaign will close midday 26th March.

Save the date and set a reminder so you don't miss your chance to double your donation!

We really value your support, thank you so much!

About Big Give

Big Give is a registered charity (1136547) that runs match funded campaigns for charities and special causes at key moments across the year. By connecting charities to match funders (like philanthropists, foundations or corporates) and the public, Big Give helps them double their donations. And, in doing so, makes an extraordinary difference to the world’s biggest challenges. It has raised more than £280m for charities to date.

Big Give campaigns have been promoted by celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Emilia Fox, Dame Judi Dench and Stephen Fry, among others. It’s a simple idea - when the public donates to a charity through a Big Give campaign, it asks funders to match that donation. So £50 from a member of the public becomes £100 for a good cause.

Big Give has supported more than 5,500 charities and worked with some of the biggest names in UK philanthropy and charitable grant-making, which provide match funding, including DCMS, John Spiers, founder of Bestinvest and B Corp registered EQ Foundation, Garfield Weston Foundation, The Reed Foundation, The Waterloo Foundation, The Hospital Saturday Fund, The Childhood Trust and others including high-net-worth individuals such as Julia and Hans Rausing.
