Role of the Art Coordinator Training

The Role of the Art Coordinator training courses are designed to:

  • Help teachers develop capacity to deliver quality subject teaching

  • Improve confidence and readiness to meet the needs of a deep dive in art and design

  • Further enrich your offer for pupils with arts and cultural partnerships and resources

Aimed for those with a responsibility for leading or teaching art and design at Key Stage 1 or 2, our one-day courses include practical, hands-on ideas for classroom art activities and will equip you with understanding and approaches to successfully lead the art and design curriculum in your school.

Set within the context of the National Curriculum priorities and Ofsted expectations, this course is led by experienced artist and teacher, Natasha Rand and will be supported by termly network support meetings to consolidate learning and share ideas and experiences.

SPAEDA run this course at two levels, Beginners and Refresher. Beginners welcomes all Art and Design subject leaders, specialist and non-specialist. Our Refresher course is designed for returning trainees who MUST have attended the Beginners course within the last 5 years to be eligible for booking.

We run these sessions twice a year in the Spring and Autumn Term. Find out when our next course is running below!
