Spaeda's Creative Education Campaign

Against a backdrop of budget constraints, policy changes and the pressures of the pandemic our school communities increasingly report a lack of time, money and resources for arts, creativity and adventure.

To combat these challenges we are helping communities across the county to access training and raise funds for high quality arts activities. By sharing what works...and what doesn't...we aim to develop a model of ongoing fundraising and delivery for the benefit of all children and young people in Somerset.

Thanks to Arts Council England’s Catalyst Evolve Programme and the fundraising efforts of our supporters and school communities, our 2019 Creative Education Campaign raised over £50,000 to bring children and young people high quality creative experiences that they would not normally have access to. Many of these projects were postponed or adapted due to the pandemic but we'll be celebrating them in our gallery here

In 2020 we are launching ARTSMARK SPARK!

Artsmark SPARK! is an opportunity for Somerset schools to access funding, CPD and support, for developing arts & cultural learning in their setting. Managed by Spaeda, with funding from Sound Foundation Somerset and Real Ideas Organisation, the scheme aims to provide a boost to teaching, learning, and creativity in schools, especially in these challenging times.

We believe that all children are entitled to a creative education and access to arts and culture. Help us level the playing field for Somerset's Children and Young People.
