Role of the Arts Coordinator

The day will cover expectations, curriculum planning, best projects for Key Stages with hands on activities and how to build a confidence across your school to deliver an outstanding arts curriculum. With the knowledge that not all Art Coordinators are arts specialists, we will guide you and support you through how you make this role a success for you and your school.

With Government announcements due on the Arts in Schools in early June, we will also find some time to see how this may affect your role and introduce you to some of the ways SPAEDA can continue to support you in to the future.

The lead trainer for the day will be Natasha Rand, a hugely experienced Teacher of Art, having held the role of Head of Art in a large secondary school in Taunton for excess of a decade. Natasha now runs Creation Generation, her own bespoke education and community arts project, and is also one of the dynamic team at Yeovil Arts Space as Engagement Director.
