About the event

Designed for those with a responsibility for leading or teaching art and design at Key Stage 1 or 2, our one-day courses include practical, hands-on ideas for classroom art activities and will equip you with understanding and approaches to successfully lead the art and design curriculum in your school.

This course will:

  • Help teachers develop capacity to deliver quality subject teaching
  • Improve confidence and readiness to meet the needs of a deep dive in art and design
  • Further enrich your offer for pupils with arts and cultural partnerships and resources

Set within the context of the National Curriculum priorities and Ofsted expectations, this course is led by experienced artist and teacher, Natasha Rand.

Cost to attend £245 includes: 1 day training and course handbook; practical session with all materials provided; lunch at The Stables Café and access to Hestercombe Gardens until 5pm on the day of the event.

Participants are further supported by our network meetings to consolidate learning and share ideas and experiences. SENCOs will need to attend the Creative Leaders Network and primary art leaders the Primary Art Network.
