About the event

Date: Tuesday 12th March 2024

Time: 4pm - 5:30pm (with 30mins optional supervision)

Venue: Online

Price: Free for Somerset Schools

This networking event is designed to help teachers and art leaders use the creative arts and music within Primary, Special School and Alternative Provision to raise achievement and support the social, emotional, and mental health and wellbeing of all students. It runs from 4pm - 5:30pm with the option to stay for supervision for a further 30 mins following the meeting.

This is suitable for anyone with either:

  1. a responsibility for inclusion
  2. an interest in therapeutic and creative approaches or
  3. an interest in arts and music subject leadership for students with additional needs

As well as important national updates; case studies and practical ideas for SEND and SEMH staff, we will be consulting on future options for the Creative Leaders Network next academic year and we want to hear from Somerset settings.

This session is led by Spaeda trainer, Natasha Rand, and includes guest speakers, Helen Reid, from Sound Foundation Somerset and Sophie Dunn, from Live Music Now.

Natasha Rand will lead a short practical modelling creative and therapeutic techniques that can be adapted and taken back into the classroom.

Book in advance to receive further information and a kit list to prepare for the practical.

This event is fully subsidised by Sound Foundation Somerset.
