Wick Farm
Professional Development Programme

Experience Unique Gardens, Meadows & Woodland Walks

With the generous support of Wick Farm, Spaeda are launching a consultation to find out how we can best support school staff through an exciting new professional development programme.

Wick Farm near Langport, is a creative haven in Somerset with a beautiful 16th century farmhouse that sits within amazing gardens filled with a mix of eclectic accessories and artistic ephemera. The grounds range from formal areas through to secluded woodland and include areas for contemplation and healing using the natural world as inspiration.

At Spaeda we work to ensure that teachers and support staff across Somerset feel supported and confident to bring creativity into the heart of their teaching. We believe that having the arts and creativity at the core of education supports the wellbeing of both staff and pupils as it creates space for rich learning experiences, inspires joy and builds self-assurance.

Following the covid pandemic, teachers need the support and investment to prioritise well-being more than ever. Good staff wellbeing is essential for cultivating an emotionally healthy school environment, for retaining and motivating staff and for promoting pupil wellbeing and attainment.
