What is a Spaeda artist?

Spaeda registers professional artists from all art forms to work alongside children and young people, both in and out of school.

Spaeda projects can be one-off workshops, a series of sessions, or larger scale collaborative projects with a range of partners.

Spaeda artists work in a range of settings, including nurseries and children’s centres, schools, colleges, PRUs, as well as non-formal education settings such as youth clubs and cultural organisations.

Spaeda promote artists through the website, arts project portfolio, and through our ‘grow your own project’ service.

Whilst we do everything we can to get employment opportunities for artists, we deliver in response to requests from schools, organisations and community groups, so we cannot guarantee work for any artist. All contracts are on a self employed basis, for a set time period.

**** Artist Update****

Due to the Somerset County Council Arts Funding cuts, we are currently unable to  process any new artist registrations. However if you feel you have got what it takes to work in participatory arts with children and young people, then please do email your CV to info@spaeda.org.uk , as may will be recruiting  new artists on a project basis.
